Great Public Transit Ads

2012/01/27

In most industrialized countries, transportation accounts for somewhere between 20 and 30% of total greenhouse gas emissions.  So, getting people out of their cars and into an efficient public transit system should be on the list of things to do for any country that is serious about reducing its carbon emissions.

In order to raise public awareness about public transit, governments, or the company that runs the transit system, will create advertisements touting the benefits of that system.  The three ads below are for De Lijn, the enterprise that runs the bus and tram system in Flanders, a community in Belgium.  They are so cute that I had to share them with you.

(Merci Serge!)
