The Demand For Leafs Is Greater Than The Supply

2011/07/30

15,000 Canadians have shown interest in purchasing the battery powered Nissan Leaf by signing up on Nissan’s website.

Unfortunately, only 640 Leafs will be made available to Canadian costumers in 2011.  Nissan actually expects the demand of its all-electric hatchback to exceed supply until 2013.  By then, their new plant in Tennessee will reach “full production capacity”.

In a way, I would say that that’s good news.
