Wow. Just…wow. That’s so disturbing, but accurate, that it makes me sick.
For me, it’s seeing (and thinking about) all the various impacts at the same time that makes the video really scary. You think about hunting or factory farming or e-waste or deforestation individually and you know it’s a big problem. But when you take the time to consider how all these problems are occurring at the same time, you realize how irresponsible we are.
That’s very true. While seemingly little things can add up for the good, all of these not-so-little things taken together make things look very dark indeed. It’s sad.
Some day, we will wake up.
I’ve actually begun reading (well, its an audio-book) “The Third Industrial Revolution”, by Jeremy Rifkin. He has been working with European Union governments to begin the implementation of a Third, sustainable, Industrial Revolution. I suggestion you watch a few of his videos on Youtube. I found them very encouraging – that’s why I bought the book – and hopefully you will too. (And I’m planning on writing a post about him…)
We came, we saw, we did a bit of (harmless, so the advertising would have us believe) shopping. That’s a wrap. Or is it a doormat?
That’s a great way to put the message out to the masses – it depresses you but in a lighter way. Most of the films of such kind are either boring or fills people with guilt…this one seems to be hitting the mark!
That broke my heart the first time I saw it and it just broke it again. The only bit I like is when he’s stomped by aliens.
Oh! Sorry about that!
As for the stomping, I wonder who will do it in real life?
