Reducing Your Food Waste

Did you know that Americans waste 96 billion (with a B) pounds of food a year?!?  That’s enough to feed 100 million people!

Now, I live in Canada, so our waste number would be lower.  But our two countries work in very similar ways, so 10 billion pounds of wasted food in Canada is probably a good guess.  And considering how many people in Canada and the USA are starving, it’s more than a little shameful.
